General Information
Sleighing Miles will be a local run or walk that will work to provide items for the
Fisher House's food pantry. This organization provides a place to stay and food for family members of veterans admitted to the VA Hospital or on FOrt Gordon. Come join
Run the Tangents Timing on December 19, 2026 to give thanks through running and giving back to the community with a non-perishable food donation before the run. The food collected at the race will be donated and for each food item donated, runners will be given a raffle ticket for entry to win a prize (prize yet to be determined).
START/FINISH
The 5k run will start at 9 a.m. and finish at Mill Village Trailhead (109 Eve St., Augusta, GA 30904) and will continue onto the canal towpath. This route will be primarily concrete with some gravel and dirt.
REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until December 19, 2026 at 8:45 a.m. Race shirts are guaranteed to everyone who registers by November 18, 2026. Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Packet pickup will be open on 12/19/2026 at 8:00 a.m. and close 8:50 a.m.
- Early Packet Pickup is scheduled for 12/18/2026 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Fleet Feet Augusta, 229 Fury's Ferry Road, Augusta, Georgia 30907.
Registration prices
- 5K without a shirt are $20 through race day (choose with shirt option with no shirt)
- 5K with a shirt is $30 through 4/1/2026, $35 through 12/18/2026, and $40 race day
- Virtual runner registration is $25 through 8 a.m. on race day
Note: All runners who register by November 18, 2026 will be guaranteed to receive an official race shirt! Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first come-first serve basis until they are gone.Runners will be given race packets that include a themed unisex t-shirt plus items from local sponsors and/or discounts on products.
Age Groups and AwardsAge Groups are 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 - 79, and 80 + male and female plus top 3 overall. Chip Timed with awards based on Gun Times.
ParkingParking will be available at the The Salvation Army Kroc Center located at 1833 Broad St., Augusta, Georgia 30904.
